Master of None (Season 1) (2015)

Blessed with an expressive face and natural screen charisma, Aziz Ansari easily carries this tremendously well-written and intellectually stimulating sitcom, analyzing various themes (like subtle racism, dating in the digital age, how to know it’s time to settle down, etc) without ever becoming repetitive, cloying or preachy. It’s quite a feat to accomplish, and it’s made all the more pleasant by a great roster of supporting characters, all of whom share considerable onscreen chemistry with Ansari. There isn’t anything else like this on television.
