Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping (2016)

Always an entertaining pleasure, Patton Oswalt is in his element here in this Netflix special, performing for a San Francisco crowd with warmth and familiarity. His material continues to veer for the geeky as well as politically left, as he discusses raising his young daughter, his affinity for immersing himself in fictional worlds, and terrible birthday clowns with his signature killer timing and delivery. There’s nary a slow moment throughout the entire performance, and there’s a particularly engaging story on being a young performer early in his career struggling through a performance while battling the flu.
