It’s perhaps unsurprising that this movie adaptation of the Parker Brothers game is a complete bore, what with its silly concept, its PG-13 rating and sub-CW acting all conspiring to making it a chore to sit through. The bland cast seems to be sleepwalking through the movie, but there isn’t much for them do anyways other than huddle over cardboard looking scared for extended periods of time. Lin Shaye injects some much-needed life in a terrific, one-two punch appearance, but sadly it only reminds you of how glacially paced everything else is. Its prequel, “Ouija: Origin of Evil,” is a terrifying knockout, you can forego this one and skip ahead.
