Popcorn (1991)

This is a pretty fun little B-movie, the sort of late-afternoon diversion that benefits tremendously from a snappy pace, an obvious reverence for disreputable horror cinema, and the presence of several genre veterans (including the always-welcome Dee Wallace). There aren’t any standout elements or anything in particular to recommend, this is really the type of movie that will reach its audience no matter what, and may not have much to offer a casual viewer.

Rating: ★★★ (out of 5)
