It almost goes without saying that most (if not all) of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”‘s many seasons are excellent. After all it’s a show that was developed by a hyper-talented, multi-hyphenate cast and production team, and one that has somehow managed to stay ahead of every pop culture and socio-political developments over the years, and manages to skewer those events with trademark sharp wit and incisive comedy that is both hilarious and cathartic. It’s more of the same here (and in this case, that’s a good thing), with classic episodes like “Who Got Dee Pregnant” and “Dee Gives Birth”, not to mention a thunderously funny anti-Christmas holiday special, “A Very Sunny Christmas,” that finds the cast and writers loosening up and going for broke. There’s nothing else on television quite like this.
