Broad City (Season 1) (2014)

One of the best, funniest shows currently on television, Comedy Central’s “Broad City” carries a surprising amount of urgency with it, with co-creators and co-leads Abbi Jacobson and Illana Glazer tackling a variety of topics affecting millennials – in particular women – with the comedic certainty of a cannonball. It’s brave, refreshing, honest and relatable, but most of all, this show is easily one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen, and that reach is established early on, even in the first few episodes of the first season: This is a show that arrived fully formed, with its leads in top comedic shape and their ears to the ground. If you haven’t watched it yet, there’s no time like the present.
