This Finish adventure thriller is a Hollywood-style old-fashioned disaster movie not unlike “The Poseidon Adventure” or “Dante’s Peak.” It doesn’t quite have the budget of either, but it puts on a great show nevertheless – in particular, the tsunami impact sequence is nail-biting and intensely well-done, with particularly good use of mood music. As with most disaster flicks, the characters aren’t particularly well developed but the cast is up to the challenge anyways, in particular Ane Dahl Torp as Idun, who proves remarkably resilient and resourceful. It’s a pretty good example of its genre, and while it never reaches greatness it’s still a solid way to spend two hours.
