It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Season 2) (2006)

The second season of FX’s consistently hilarious sitcom is one of the best seasons of any show I’ve seen. Episodes like “Charlie Gets Crippled” and “Dennis and Dee Go on Welfare” are some of the show’s best-ever, showcasing the comedic strengths of each performer as the gang goes from one self-imposed catastrophe to another. In addition, the creative team (which includes many of the performers) matches the dedication of the performers, with a steady stream of razor-sharp scripts. Danny DeVito joins the cast in this season’s first episode and immediately gets into the spirit of things, displaying his knack for outrageous, dark comedy.
