As far as filmmaking goes, “Ghoulies 2” is no better or worse than the first one: The low-budget is flagrant, the sets are cheap, the acting is negligible, and the screenplay seems like an afterthought. But like the first movie it’s also kinda fun to watch: It’s so silly and stupid that it’ll please undemanding horror fans, and the running time is short enough that it doesn’t overstay its thin welcome. Fans of the “Puppet Master” or “Demonic Toys” series will likely find plenty to enjoy here, in so-bad-it’s-good kinda way.
