There’s not much to this second sequel to the surprise 2012 blockbuster, and that’s part of its charm. Mind you, there’s no denying that this finale arrives a little dead on arrival, stretching as it does a rather thin series plot past its breaking point, with international intrigue and espionage action from the first few scenes. But at its heart, it’s an undemanding and undeniably charming way to spend ninety minutes, while the cast continues to radiate infectious good will. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson still work well against each other, while Haylee Steinfeld steals scenes left and right. In the end it may be time for the Bellas to hang in up once and for all, but it’s been a pleasure getting there.
