Little Britain (Season 1) (2003)

Fans of sketch comedy should hunt for this brilliant BBC series. From the first episode, the show arrives fully formed: Leads David Walliams and Matt Lucas are abundantly talented and often downright fearless in their approach to comedy, and the finished product is a hilarious, consistent and endlessly re-watchable treat. Walliams is a likable, talented performer, but it’s Lucas who regularly steals the show with his pitch-perfect comedic timing and remarkable ability to morph from one character to the next. Episodes like “Biggest House of Cards” and “Most Cigarettes in a Mouth” feature some of the show’s funniest sketches.
