As a child I was fascinated by the artwork for this one, and somehow managed to not watch it for nearly twenty years. After finally seeing it, part of me regrets it at all, given that it’s such a poorly made bore. Sure, Sam Elliott makes for a striking, brooding leading man, and it’s interesting to see Ray Milland in such a B-horror movie. But ultimately, there’s so little story and so little going on, while the attack scenes (which consist of not only frogs, but also snakes and spiders, among others) are so tame and ridiculous that it’s hard to muster much enthusiasm for it.
