This peculiar animated sitcom’s inaugural season is one of the few I’ve seen that arrives fully formed from the first episode. A cross between the irreverent flippancy of “Family Guy” and the understated, absurdist humor of “Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist,” “Bob’s Burgers” has a manic comedic rhythm that is just about always present, and it makes the overall experience both hilarious and consistently entertaining. Standout episodes like “Sacred Cow,” “Hamburger Dinner Theater” and “Sheesh! Cab, Bob?” make for great showcases for all the show’s strengths, including imaginative episodic premises and top-notch comedic vocal work, which makes the show’s unique characters stand out even more.
