Continuing to tackle the ravages and hormonal spikes of puberty with incisiveness and extraordinary wit, this show has a knack for making embarrassing, difficult subjects easily digestible, and that strength is on full display throughout this screamingly hysterical second season. Moving on from wet dreams and periods, and straight into contraception and pansexuality (among others), there’s even more health-class value in this season, including a wonderfully clever and entertaining episode about Planned Parenthood that clarifies the organization’s mission statement in truly hilarious ways. The voice work remains first-rate all-around, in particular co-leads and co-creators Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, who contribute a number of memorable, surprisingly well-developed characters to the show.
